drama therapy

Drama therapy is a creative, body- and process-oriented ART of psychotherapy that uses elements of theater, ritual, imagination, and play to express, explore, and transform inner experiences. In a safe therapeutic space, people can work with inner images, roles, stories, and symbols—often beyond language.

The focus is not on "acting," but on personal experience. Drama therapy can help resolve emotional blockages, strengthen self-efficacy, and gain new perspectives.

Who is drama therapy suitable for?

Drama therapy is suitable for people experiencing life crises, experiencing psychosomatic problems, experiencing anxiety, experiencing depression, recovering from stressful experiences, or seeking personal development. Even those who find it difficult to talk about their feelings can find powerful access to themselves here.

How does the work work?

Drama therapy can use creative methods such as:

Role work and role plays

Body expression and voice

Symbolic objects and figures

Imaginative journeys and rituals

Scenic writing or movement

The therapeutic relationship provides support, resonance, and reflection. What is experienced in play can be gradually integrated into real life.
